Falls Awareness

Course Overview:

This 3 hour course delivered by physiotherapists and occupational therapists from the Intermediate Falls Team, gives staff the knowledge and skills to help reduce the risk of falls and severity of injuries.

Target Group:

Support staff working in social care settings, Community Teams

Learning Outcomes:

Understand the normal ageing process
Understand how this process increases the risk of falls
Understand how these risks may be minimised
Understand the effect a fall has on a person
Understand the wider implications of injuries from falls
